What is technical mount in BJJ?

Technical mount has one knee up and one knee on the ground, similar to a low lunge position while mounted on your opponent. It provides stability when they try to escape and makes transitioning to back control easier. When they turn to escape mount, technical mount lets you follow and take their back. It is a dynamic position between mount and back control.
