How does the free trial work?

How long does setup take?
About 3 minutes for the initial setup. Add groups, invite coaches, and start bringing students in.
Do you help with setup?
Yes, at no extra cost or fee. We do the setup together with you: import your students, create membership plans, set up groups and schedules, and configure billing. You start with your academy ready, not with an empty system.
How does support work?
A real person, on WhatsApp. No chatbot on the first contact and no ticket queue. We reply within 24 hours on business days. We set up the academy with you (students, groups, plans, and billing) and we stay after go-live. No extra fee.
Does support disappear after the academy is live?
No. Assisted setup is the start. If check-in fails before class, billing needs a tweak, or a coach has a question, you talk on WhatsApp with someone who already knows your academy. We do not send a generic link and close the ticket.
Do my students need to download an app?
For check-in and engagement signals, yes: students use the free BJJ Notes app. You can also add manual students for roster and promotions even if they are not on the app yet.
What if my students don't use the app?
No problem: gym management works 100% without the app. Student roster, groups, check-in, and billing all run normally with manual students. If your students do use BJJ Notes, even better: your engagement data gets richer, with logged training and signals of who is drifting away. Start with the students who will adopt, and add the rest as manual students.
My students are already in a spreadsheet. How do I move them over?
You don't need to migrate history to get started. Add students directly in the portal (name, belt, group) in a few clicks, or invite them to connect through the app. Most academies build the full roster on day one. And if you prefer, we'll import them together with you during setup, at no extra cost.
Do you handle student tuition / payments?
Yes. You can create plans, link students on the billing roster, and collect tuition through Stripe Connect. Money goes to your academy account. BJJ Notes takes 0% of student tuition; Stripe processing fees apply as usual. Ops tools (roster, check-in, promotions, classes, engagement) stay in the same product.
We teach more than Jiu-Jitsu. Does that work?
Yes. Groups and check-in support Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, and Wrestling in the same academy. Ranked promotions cover Jiu-Jitsu (belts/stripes) and Muay Thai (kruang). Boxing, MMA, and Wrestling run attendance-first without a belt ladder. The student app is strongest for Jiu-Jitsu today.
How is this different from attendance tracking?
Attendance shows who came. Engagement shows who's still in the work: logging, reviewing curriculum, staying active. That is what reveals drift before someone quietly cancels.
