How do I do a gable grip correctly?

The gable grip connects your hands palm-to-palm without interlocking fingers - named after legendary wrestler Dan Gable. You cup one hand over the other with thumbs alongside, not inside. This grip is stronger than interlocked fingers for pulling and squeezing because your hands work as one unit. Gable grips are used for body locks, rear naked chokes, takedowns, and any situation requiring strong pulling power. Interlocked fingers can be broken more easily and risk finger injuries.
